When he’s not telling people to shut up in a park or hanging out with the hottest rapper of 2017, Big Shaq, you can usually catch Stormzy being the nicest young man in the entire god damn world.
Just recently, a fan named Nasir Bockarie tweeted Stormzy, informing him that his dad had died on the 8th of December, the day of his graduation and that he was hoping he’d be able to perform their favourite song ‘Blinded By Grace’ at his funeral.
Bro my Dad passed away on the day of my graduation last week Friday. Our favourite song of yours was blinded by your grace. Would love it if you could preform this at his funeral next Thursday 21st December. Don’t worry if you can’t, I just thought I’d try my luck 🙏🏾 #Hopeful

Obviously, tweeting something at an artist is a gamble that very rarely pays off, but luckily old mate Stormz must have been scrolling through his feed at the time because he hit up Nasir and told him to slide in his DM’s.
Stormzy came through and performed the song at the funeral which took place on the 21st of December.

“I don’t want to hear any slander about this man ever because I don’t know many people who have a soul to match his,” said Nasir’s cousin Mariama Kallon.
Speaking to the BBC, Ms Kallon described what it was like to have Stormzy present.
“Family events for us are very special, whether it be a funeral or wedding.”
“We try to find the positive out of everything and that can be hard at funerals, especially with younger family members. We did the best to give my uncle a memorable send-off and of course Stormzy really made that happen.”
Bloody beautiful stuff, guys. Try and be a little bit like Stormzy this holiday season.
