More times than I can count what should have been a leisurely trip to the shops has turned into some sort of confused nightmare where I’m stranded without transport all because I can’t remember if I parked in D4 or A3.
While we’ve all had to endure a moment of panic when we first think that some little rugrat has stolen our car, usually we’re back to normal within a few minutes after finding the car and totally disregarding what we said about writing down where we park in future.
Well, one German fella wasn’t so fortunate as he’s only JUST found his car that he thought was stolen many years ago, only for it to be right under his nose the entire time.
Old mate reported his car missing to the police in 1997 and city officials have only bloody just gotten around to finding it now! It turns out that the car hadn’t actually been stolen, and had just been chilling in a garage in an old industrial building for all this time.
He was only notified about the location of the car because the building it was parked in was set to be demolished and they had to remove the car, funny how they can find it pretty quick when it’s an inconvenience to them.
When the 76-year-old was found, he was driven by police to have a squizz at the car, which ultimately turned out to be irreparable and unable to move. So, uh, bad luck I guess
