Justin Beiber is truly an inspirational story of how someone went from being the most hated person in the world to getting drunk people from all walks of life to passionately scream the words to his infectious pop melodies.
There was a time when Justin Beiber was the punchline of every joke, it became cool to tear him down and mock his catchy tunes and high pitched voice. However, the Beiber of 2017 is an entirely different beast, foregoing hideous sneakers and an infamous haircut for… well I’m not entirely sure what the fucks going on down below.
While it looks like most people have forgiven Beiber for his outrageous ways, the Chinese Government definitely hasn’t caught a case of Beiber Fever as they’ve only gone and banned him from performing in the country.
When a Chinese fan contacted the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture to inquire why she hasn’t seen her idol in a number of years despite the star touring neighbouring Asian countries, she was met with a polite but firm response.
“Justin Bieber is a gifted singer, but he is also a controversial young foreign singer,” the bureau told the fan in a statement. “In order to maintain order in the Chinese market and purify the Chinese performance environment, it is not suitable to bring in badly behaved entertainers.
“We hope that as Justin Bieber matures, he can continue to improve his own words and actions, and truly become a singer beloved by the public.”
So there you go, China is pretty much that Mum from primary school that wouldn’t let her kids play with anyone else because they’re a ‘bad influence’.
