Bloke Protests Outside Of Court To Demand His Bong Back

The relationship between a stoner and their bong is a beautiful thing. From picking it out on the self, bringing it home to meet the family and occasionally cleaning it when pulling it feels like you’ve just swallowed a mouthful of ash and residue.

So, it’s not exactly suprising when one bloke decides to rock up to a court of law in order to take back what’s rightfully his: his beloved bong.

Wearing only a pair of socks, shoes and some eye-catching green underwear, Canadian fella Jeffrey Shaver turned up at his local courthouse with two signs, one reading “RETURN MY BONG” and another making an equally reasonable request, “RETURN MY MARIJUANA”.

Apparently, old mate believes he was wrongly arrested last October for possession of weed and ultimately had his bong and a small bit of weed seized. Like any stoner who’s stash is running low, he wants them back, and he wants them back now.

“I have a legal medical marijuana card. Five months after I got it, I was arrested for possession of marijuana, but I had my card on me,” Shaver said.

“So two days later, I went back and smoked marijuana on the front lawn of the police station,” Shaver said. “Again they arrested me. I went to jail for the first time. They held me there for 16 hours.

“And that charge, ironically, has already been dropped and this is the very bong they returned to me,” he said, pausing to take a hit off the bong. “They refuse to return the other one because they haven’t dropped that marijuana charge.”

Claiming he smokes to treat anxiety, depression and back pain, Jeffrey said the original seize happened at his local hospital.

“I was having a panic attack and I was brought there and I had an issue with the vending machine and I was charged with trespassing and causing a disturbance by yelling,” he said. “They asked me to leave. Police arrested me and searched me.”

Well, let’s hope old mate gets back what’s rightfully his. Not all heroes wear capes, or anything I guess.
