The friend of an accused murderer has been arrested after she stubbed a lit cigarette out on a Channel 9 reporter’s face. The assailant was in Cabooluture Magistrates Court attending a hearing for Stevee Jane Kennedy, who is accused of the murder of 26 year-old Freeman Brookes. Upon leaving the hearing, she was making her way through the media scrum when Channel 9 reporter Alex Bernhardt copped the attack. The woman is now being charged with assault.
