If you’re anything like me, you’ve been sat at home on the couch watching the Coachella live stream, wishing you were there while simultaneously thinking that everyone who showed up is only there for the Instagram pic and don’t know how to party.
While watching the stream is all well and good (minus the multitude of audio problems they seem to be experiencing) it certainly doesn’t complete the festival experience.
For example, I’d put up with the millions of flower crowns and awkward dancers if it meant I got to go to Eminem’s pop-up spaghetti restaurant and feast until there was vomit on my sweater already.
It’s pretty fuckin’ incredible that the internet was able to make a meme out of one line from a song from 2002, and since then spaghetti has become Eminem’s trademark.
It’s not quite reminiscent of your mother’s recipe, but for $9 you can grab a container of spaghetti, chuck in some meatballs for $12 or get a spag bol sandwich ($11) which is spaghetti sandwiched between mozzarella and garlic bread.
Punters were bloody frothing it as well, as I’m pretty sure anyone would.
“I just assumed it was related to him because we’d never heard ‘Mom’s spaghetti’ anywhere else,” said GiGi Garcia, a 23-year-old from San Diego. “I want to know if it’s just this year because he’s playing, or if they will be here next year too. I bet the spaghetti is good.”
“It’s a brilliant name for a spaghetti restaurant,” said Megan Black, a 22-year-old from Toronto. “We were drawn to it because of the name.”
Fingers crossed Em makes his way down under at some point, I’m fanging for some meatballs m8.
