Remember when catching an Uber used to be a proper experience? Back in the days where you would be enthusiastically greeted by some bloke in a Toyota who was fanging for a bit of extra cash, and would be happy to talk your ear off as if he was getting tipped at the end of it.
Nowadays things are a bit different, most Uber driver must have had the “When did you get into Uber?” conversation at least 4 times a day and the scowl on their face leaves you hesitant to ask when they’ll be finishing up.
However, George Ure isn’t like most Uber drivers. He’s brilliantly crafted a menu of “ride types” depending on your mood, including: The Stand Up, The Silent Ride, The Therapy Ride, The Creepy Ride, and The Rude Ride.
Speaking to Mashable, George explained that the menus go a long to improving the experience for his passengers, as long as they speak up.
“Tell the driver what you want, I can’t read minds bro.”
Taking notes from his mate who’s a chef, he’s looking to update the menus with the changing seasons.
“I mean, the seasons change, the menu has to. You gotta keep it fresh,” he said. “I have a lot of ideas, some are good, some are bad, most of them are funny.”
Here’s hoping The Rude Ride finds a permanent place on the menu.
