Last night, thousands of Australian’s exhaled quickly through their noses’ after hearing that Shannon Noll, Australian idol contestant turned meme, had been charged with two counts of assault outside an Adelaide strip club.
Allegedly, the incident took place in the early hours of Sunday morning, after Nollsy had performed a show in Mannum, a nearby Adelaide town. Witnesses say that Shannon had been kicked out of the Crazy Horse, one of Adelaide’s most well-known strip clubs, he then proceeded to get aggressive and throw around the weight that being the 2003 Australian Idol finalist brings.
Speaking to Channel 9, eye-witness Alastair Longmuir claims that Nollsy “Got really aggressive and being like ‘I’m Shannon Noll, let me back into the Crazy Horse.’ Which is a sentence I think should be engraved above the door of that fine establishment for all eternity. Alastair went on to say that old mate Noll went on to punch a security guard and four policemen had to pin him down. Clearly, Noll was very, very keen to have a gander at the goods inside.
Since Sunday, footage has emerged of Noll having a seemingly tense conversation with security outside the club, and then being pinned down while one of the bouncer’s knees gets acquainted with Shannon’s ribs. Have a peek at the video below and let your heart swell with pride as an Australian hero does what Australian’s do best: getting kicked out of a venue for being too rowdy.
