Some Legend Donated Almost 4 Pounds of Weed Stashed in an Esky to Goodwill

It might not be the usual donation of ill-fitting clothes, tired looking t-shirts, and itchy Grandpa jumpers but leaving over $24,000 worth of weed at a charity shop seems like as good a deed as any. However, police don’t exactly share that sentiment as they’re now on the lookout for a mysterious marijuana miracle man who dropped off the donation inside an ice-cool esky.

Last week, police in Monroe, Washington were called to a local Goodwill when employees lifted the lid on an esky expecting to find clothes and other trinkets, only to be hit with the smell of pure dankness. Police posted the below tweet, featuring a very jolly officer with almost 5 bags of kush.

Although weed sales are legal in Washington for both medical and recreational use, it’s only lawful to carry up to an ounce for personal use. Anything over 40 grams is considered a felony and can carry a five-year jail sentence, as well as a $10,000 fine.

According to a local Fox news affiliate, police are reviewing the shop’s security cameras in order to find the stoner who’s either extremely charitable or ridiculously forgettable. Of course, it could have been someone’s Mum doing their annual charity shop run which could explain why they thought it would be a good idea to give over $20k worth of wacky baccy for free.
