Living what you love is for some a dream come true, but for others it remains a set of arbitrary words that have no room in our dense and economically structured world. Fortunately for us, there are some who give great pride towards the concept of ‘make it and they will come‘. It’s with great pleasure we present John Nese, proprietor, entrepreneur, shop owner and local bubble tooth of the Galcos Soda Pop Stop in LA.
Mr. Nese’s father originally ran the shop as a grocery store but when the time came for John to take charge, he decided to convert it into the ultimate soda-lovers destination. About 500 pops line the neatly stacked shelves, sourced lovingly by John from around the world. John has made it his mission to keep small soda-makers afloat and help them find their consumers. Galcos also acts as a distributor for restaurants and bars along the West Coast, spreading the gospel of soda made with cane sugar – a big symbol of battle against the high fructose corn syrup that comprise so many foods within the US.
