Whenever a musician of any reasonable level of importance dies, a tonne of crappy bootlegs flood the internet in an attempt to relive their life through audio. Luckily enough, there are always a few gems that make their way onto the crowded interweb walls. After Whitney Houston’s passing, Bongo, the head honcho of Belgium based MSMD and all round curator of beats, decided he would do his own touch up of her popular ‘Its Not Right’ track. On the back of appearances on labels like Sweat It Out, his refined tech vibes are pretty damn catchy and that’s exactly what made this remix tribute undeniably cool. Combining nice sampling and straight up addictive drum programming, we like everything about the final product. In confidence, we will say that 99% of the Whitney Houston remixes that make their way around in the coming weeks will hold nothing on this effort. The best thing?
