I’m going to start by saying this EP as a whole is one of the nicest and most impressive releases I have heard in a very long time. Kidnap Kid is an electronic producer from Leeds in the UK who makes amazing, spacious and danceable audio that’s featured all over the place of late. His Alphaville EP is set to drop on ‘Black Butter Records‘ (an entity we can’t stop talking about lately) come March 5th, and it’s every bit as tasty as I’m making it out to be. The three track effort combines beautifully produced tracks, forging a stunning final product that will surely circulate the globe and bring well deserved recognition to both an amazing label and artist. ‘Vehl’ is the opening to the track, which combines inspiring vocal snippets with dope synth work and killer drum programming, resulting a tune that would wow a dance floor or help you serenade a female. Talk about well rounded. Next up, ‘Lazarus Taxon’ brings home a little more of the tech vibe with a driving beat that sounds divine on big speakers. Finally, ‘Be More’ brings out a chopped up, stuttering round out to the EP which pushes and pulls for its duration, perfect for your next pre-party. Follow Kidnap Kid right here, Black Butter right here, and get on Beatport March 5th to buy this!
