It’s been awhile since we’ve talked about music, but when we got wind of Conor Griffin and Matt Foz’s amazing musical project ARTIS, we would be doing an injustice not to pay our respects. Having experimented with a flurry of genres including drum & bass, deep tech and house, the two have come out of the musical blender with an amazing perspective on what constitutes good music. With influences from crew like SBTRKT and TEED, but also gang like Big L, they’ve recently completed production on Tigerilla’s EP and are currently working with Parachute Youth’s Johnny Castro, Allday and Koolta.
But enough of the back-story. The duo have just dropped an amazing self-titled EP. It’s a 5-track offering that’s reinvigorated our love for audio, but more so, taught us that anyone who complains about the new batch of Australian talent may very well be misguided.
