500 is a pretty significant number. If you times it by a billion you get the number of Twinkies produced each year for Americans to snack on (and get larger). 500 is also the name of two popular card games played around the world, the HTML status code for an internal server error and the term given to sports teams who end a season with an equal number of wins and losses. Whats more, 500 is the number of posts we have accumulated within the walls of our beloved house at the time of publishing the text your now reading. For us, this was a significant time and called for a bit of reflection, a ponder if you must. How did we get here? Where to now? What came first, the chicken or the egg? All good questions that will be answered, but for now – lets take a look at Yourfriendshouse.com by the numbers.

We have published 500 articles, ran 54 interviews, received 208,847 impressions and 141,349 unique visits, gained 17 contributors, said goodbye to 2 contributors, had 2,287 comments, posted 1,023 status updates, supported 9 events, completed 8 mail outs, tweeted 704 times, accumulated over 10,000 ‘likes’, had 5 fights with our web designers, updated the site 3 times, been sent over 1000 releases, uploaded 14 songs to our Soundcloud, played around at 9 festivals, ripped on Snookie 36 times, lost 2 computers, debated with readers 24 times and last but not least – been hacked by a Tunisian extremist once.
